David Johnson is a witty and quirky performance poet, who mixes his stand-up humour with his own verse. His inspiration comes from the bizarre world that we live in combined with a wry commentary on change and progress.

There will be a combination of invited poets reading their work and a Poetry Slam, together with an opportunity for budding local poets to read their own work.

Favourite Poet Slam: David invites you to bring along your favourite poem by any poet to read to the audience or if you are too shy, one of the poets at the event will read it for you. The audience will be asked to vote for the poem they liked best. Please note: there will be a maximum of 10 contenders, first come, first served.

Are you a budding poet? Then come and join us, there will be an opportunity for budding poets to read one of their own poems. Please note: there will be a maximum of five new poets, first come, first served.
