Hello everyone
A huge thank you for the massive response we’ve had this year with more registrations than ever before. We are now getting busy collating all the registrations and putting the map together.
The official deadline for registrations was Friday 20 April, but if you missed the date and still want to register please get in touch within the next few days and I’m sure we’ll be able to get you on the map. To make sure you don’t miss out simply download the registration form from www.eastonartstrail.co.uk and send it to us at register@eastonartstrail.co.uk along with a small photo and a short description of up to 15 words to go on the map and website. Instructions on how to pay for the registration by PayPal can be found here.
We can’t guarantee that any registrations received after next week will appear on the map, so drop us a line before registering to check with us first. If we’re not able to give you a listing on the map we’ll still be able to feature you on the website. If you’re already registered, but haven’t submitted your photo and description to us yet, it’s equally important that you send that to us quickly so that we can ensure your listing looks as good as possible on the map.
So that we can do everything possible to promote our artists, makers and performers it would be great if you could provide us with a way people can contact you after the event. This could be an email address, internet link or contact number and it’s completely optional. We’re able to fit more information with listings on the website, so feel free to give us details of your Facebook Page, Twitter feed, blog, website, online store, mailing address and a slightly longer description for use online if you like. We will always keep your personal data secure, so please be assured that only information that you ask us to make public will be published.
We’ll be in touch again in a few weeks to arrange a meeting with people taking part in Easton Arts Trail 2012 but if you have any questions in the meantime you can contact us by email atinfo@eastonartstrail.co.uk, on Facebook at www.facebook.com/eastonartstrail or through Twitter@eastonartstrail.
Many thanks again for all your interest and support so far, we really appreciate it and we’re looking forward to the big event in just 9 weeks’ time! The sad news yesterday about the cancellation of St Paul’s Carnival shows how vulnerable community events are lately, so we feel particularly lucky this year and look forward to seeing Carnival back in full force in 2013.
All the best

Can you help Easton Arts Trail 2012?
We are looking for someone to coordinate the smooth running of the group venue at Easton Community Centre. It’s great experience and, as many of the people displaying there have been part of the Easton Arts Trail before, it should be fairly straightforward. Drop us a line at info@eastonartstrail.co.uk if you’d be happy to help out with that and we’ll look into refunding your registration fee.
If any of you know someone who can provide some display boards for Saturday 30 June and Sunday 1 July we’d be very interested to know about them. Likewise, we are looking for a distributor to deliver the maps throughout the neighbourhood because the person we normally use might be on holiday.
We hope you had a good Easter break and that April is treating you well so far. In our last note we said we’d be in touch soon to confirm the date for the next public meeting where we will be taking last minute registrations and you can have the opportunity to ask any questions about the Easton Arts Trail 2012.
The meeting will be on Wednesday 18 April 2012 at 6:30pm in St Mark’s Church Café. There will be registration forms available on the day, but feel free to print one from the website and bring it with you if you’d like to complete it beforehand. We will be able to accept payments by cheque or cash at the meeting. It would also be useful if you could bring an example of your work so that we can photograph it to use for the map and the website.
The registration fee for the main trail is £20 while the Front Garden competition costs £5. We are offering a bursary for young people aged 14-18 who are still at school to take part for free. Registration for performers is also free. If you are on benefits or have a low income we can offer a reduced registration fee.
If you can’t make it to the meeting next week you can still register by filling in the forms that are available from the website and submitting them by email to register@eastonartstrail.co.uk or by post to 61 Tudor Road, Bristol BS5 6BN. The Easton Arts Trail registration form can be downloaded here and the Front Garden form is here.
Please remember that it may not be possible to feature anyone on the map who registers after Friday 20 April, so it’s really important to get your forms and payments in on time.
If you have any questions about registration fees or any part of the registration process please feel free to message us at info@eastonartstrail.co.uk, onwww.facebook.com/eastonartstrail or through twitter.com/eastonartstrail.
We look forward to seeing you next week.
Many thanks
Andrew and EAT committee
PS If you haven’t been to St Mark’s Church Café before, the entrance is at the side of the building opposite the Thali Café. You can see a map here.
The 2012 Easton Arts Trail will take place on 30/6 and 01/07/12 !
Welcome to the Easton Arts Trail 2012. Easton will be putting on a show! More than 100 local painters, photographers, sculptors, performers, craftspeople and artists of all kinds will exhibit their work in their homes and other local venues, and there will be music, performance and activities for all ages, in and outdoors. Everyone is invited to come and experience the sights, sounds and imagination of this unique neighbourhood and its famously creative community.
Feel free to stroll around our streets, visit the open houses and exhibitions to see and buy art from local residents and admire the gardens. Don’t miss the performances and do get stuck into the hands-on workshops.

The Easton Arts Trail is organised by volunteers from the local community who work hard throughout the year to coordinate this annual community event that celebrates the quality and diversity of the creative talent in Easton. We are an artist-led organisation, founded in December 2006, with the aim of showcasing the broad range of creative talent in Easton by providing a platform for local artists, makers and performers to promote and develop their work in the community.
